According to 1 Corinthians 13 Love is patient and kind; love does not Envy or Boast.....
Websters Dictionary says Envy is to Begrudge - so what is Begrudge:
*To give or concede reluctantly or with a displeasure.
* To look upon with disapproval

* To puff oneself up in speech speak vaingloriously.
* To speak of or assert with excessive pride.
* To posses and often call attention to (something that is a source of pride)
Proverbs 23:6 Eat not the bread of him who has a hard, grudging, and envious eye, neither desire his dainty foods;
Philippians 1:15 It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives.
Job 5:2 Surely resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple.

I think I must have missed your part 2 but I did go back and read it. What a wonderful way to celebrate the upcoming Valentine's Day by posting about God's love and how He defines it.
There are some other kinds of love (maybe you've thought about them) unconditional love, and tough love. Tough love is a hard one but sometimes we have to use it especially with children.
I look forward to your next post.
Blessings and love,
AliceE.
